Currently Watching
8 Seconds
see related

FINALLY!  I have regained the use of my fingers.  It has been a long and trying time but after the accident and months of rehab I can now type again.  Thank you for the prayers and cards as I do NOT intend to be in any rodeos for quite sometime.  Those eight seconds nearly cost me my piano abilities, not to mention the nickname "Noodle Hands".

I hope this comes as a warning for those of you who do choose a career in the cowboy industry.  It can be extremely dangerous.  That huge beast tour me up before I even knew what was going on.

I guess next time I should get seats behind a lesser-drunk, small woman.  Or watch the rodeo on TV.

Whoa what is going on?
So things have been pretty boring.  Just doin' that same ol' thing- buying groceries, working at Payless and coming back to my hotel room.  I love Utah but I didn't know it'd be so stressful to live here.
And I traveled time.  Did i mention that?  I did.
Whether you believe it or not, it's not that dramatic.  And kind of disapointing.
It all started when I woke up the other day and I realized I had slept with my watch on for the first time.  This was weird as I never do that- BUT my watch said, it was the 17th when it should have been the 20th.  Weird, I know.
I was so freaked out by it that I didn't leave my hotel room.  I didn't want to risk seeing the 'other me' as I guess I was already at work selling shoes.  When housekeeping came by I hit under the bed.  I knew I had traveled time because she was wearing the same thing as on the 17th!
Then a few hours into the day I notice that time was actually slowing down!  My watch's hands suddenly said 2:45 and just stopped there.
The feeling was amazing.  And I started wondering if the whole world had stopped, I looked out the window and trees were still blowing and I knew it was me.  I was parrallell to time and all rules therein.
Under the pressure I blacked out.  The next thing I know, I was awake in my underwear and it was the 24th.  My room had moved around a bit and my watch and wallet were gone.  Seems that Inez cleaned extra thourough this time.
I never promised it was another chapter of Back To The Future, but it happened.  And I survived.

Click to view full size imageWhoa the strangest things have been happening since I've become a local celebrity.  It's the good life, I'm not gonna lie.  I have gotten asked out by so many lovely ladies it's not even funny.  I am living it up.  My Uncle Chas would be so proud of me.  "Date the ladies," he would always say.  And I am.  I am.  Among my several dates a week (sometime per day) I am getting asked out by other celebs.  This is very common to us in the industry so forgive me if much of this sounds tright.  We also use words like tright.  Sometimes even, trite.  So I'll get right down to what you wanna know:  who have I been out with?  Well let's just look at my datebook from last week shall we...

Monday:  the Quesa-Pizza Girl- she was fun but brought too many of her kids along.  However it did make Charleston's much more like Chuckie Cheese, so good call.

Tuesday:  Linda Soundtrack- some of you may not remember her but she still looks the same.  She also sounds the same to.  When she ordered for me it was so loud and monotone I'm pretty sure I was blind for about 7 minutes.

Wednesday:  a girl from the Ashlin Gardens Wedding Chapel commercial- I don't see this going anywhere.

Thursday:  Got stood up by Rue McClanahan, however Bea Arthur was there and we hit it off.

Friday:  Bea Arthur- went to see 'March of the Penguins':)

Saturday:  Bea Arthur- ;)  Ice Skating, then OKC Rocks!

Sunday:  went to church with Kirsten Mcentire, but right after lunch I called Bea and we talked for like 4 hours!!!:):):):)

Well the last thing i wanna do is bore you with my new lifestyle.  I sure hope all goes good for you as it is for me.  As far as I can tell I've reached the top.  All that is left is to retire, write a couple books on my life, and do return spots on Hollywood Squares.

I love you all,

Luke Rose (Bea says I need to change it! You tha' boss!  'Little inside humor, I know...)

Wow.  Every boy has a dream.  Some want to grow up and be internationally known for singing, "She Bangs" terribly on a strangly successful reality show.  Others will work hard to be on "Survivor: Delaware" while some submit audition after audition for the reality series based on "Three's Company" or "The Brady Bunch".  I think reality super-stars are a joke.  There is nothing more rediculous than being famous because of some contest or talent show.  the lowest you can get is to parade around after winning such a thing and declaring yourself a celebrity.

However: if you win a LOCAL CAR DEALER COMMERCIAL CONTEST it's totally different.  What a world we live in where a beekeeper's son can end up being the next classy car-pitch-guy.  We all know what happened to great artists like The Credit Jeweler's Cowboy, the Delrancho Kid, and Ernest.  They all died.  So I got that going for me.

I love this country.  Where else can you pay 37 doll hairs for 10 gallons of gas and drive across town to be in a commercial that has you play the accordion ontop of a Honda sign?  (Other than Bombay, India.)

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm living my dream and I hope you are, too.
